Sell — recovery calculatorEstimate against catalogue figures. Not an offer.

The liquidator quotes one number for the whole kitchen.

Tick what is on site. The calculator returns a recovery band against a liquidator-equivalent quote for the same units, itemised, and states in figures what it does not account for.

Step 2 — equipment on site

Only units in the price catalogue are listed here. Anything else on your site still sells — it is not in this estimate yet.

Tick at least one unit to estimate.

Nothing estimated yet

Pick a business type, tick what is on site, then estimate. The band, the liquidator figure and what the estimate does not account for all appear here.

What turns an estimate into a price

How the report is built

An estimate is arithmetic on a catalogue. A price is evidence. The difference between the two is one pass with a camera and the invoices you already have in a drawer.

  1. A used stainless combi oven photographed straight on in a stripped, grey-tiled kitchen, with a phone on a low tripod working through the eight fixed capture angles.
    01Capture

    Eight fixed angles, nameplate first

Nameplate, front, interior cavity, controls, door seals, rear connections, underside and accessories. The nameplate slot is blocking — no legible nameplate, no listing. It is the one part of a machine that cannot be talked up.

  2. Overlapping printed maintenance dockets and a stamped service certificate laid across a scratched stainless prep bench.
    02Extract

    Service invoices read, not skimmed

Drop the maintenance dockets in as PDF, JPG or HEIC. Dates, engineer and work done are pulled out into a service timeline attached to the unit. An invoice that cannot be read is recorded as an extraction failure and lowers the confidence figure — it is never silently dropped.

  3. Close crop of a commercial oven door seal: the grey gasket crazed and stiffened with age above hard white limescale rings in the stainless rebate.
    03Grade

    Seven dimensions, one confidence figure

Each dimension is scored against the published rubric, and every finding links back to the photo region it came from. The report returns a grade A to D, a confidence percentage, and a list of what it could not see.

Every grade on this site is derived the same way. Read the grading rubric — including the section on what a report cannot tell you.

Commission

What it costs

Commission only, on a completed sale, deducted at payout. No listing fee, no photography fee, nothing to pay if the unit does not sell.

Commission by sale value

Commission rate by sale value

Under $2,0008%
$2,000 to $14,9997%
$15,000 and over6%

Commission is charged to the seller. The buyer pays the price on the listing. A Verified Inspection, if you request one, is billed separately and shown before you book it.

Escrow

How you get paid

Funds are held, not paid, from the moment a buyer commits — and released 48 hours after the unit is collected.

  1. 01payment_pending

    Buyer commits

The card is authorised. Nothing is captured and nothing reaches you yet.

  2. 02funds_held

    Funds held

Stripe holds the money. It is not paid to anyone. Contact details are revealed to both parties at this point and not before.

  3. 03collection_scheduled

    Collection agreed

A collection window is set. Removal contractors are searchable by postcode with their disconnect, Gas Safe and F-Gas capabilities listed.

  4. 04collected

    Unit leaves the building

Collection is marked on the order and a 48-hour inspection window opens for the buyer.

  5. 05released

    Funds released

The buyer confirms, or the 48 hours close with no issue raised. The capture is issued and the payout is scheduled to your Stripe Connect account.

A disputed order never auto-releases. If the buyer raises an issue inside the 48-hour window the funds stay held until it is settled — which is also why the report names its own gaps before the money moves, not after.

Worked cases

Three closures, three numbers

Same catalogue and same arithmetic as the calculator above. Recovery is drawn against a liquidator-equivalent quote for the same units, on the same scale.

Lease ends in 19 daysE14

42-cover restaurant

3 units to clear

  • Rational SCC WE 61

Combi oven, 2022, serviced twice a year

  • Foster EcoPro G3

Undercounter fridge, 2021, one compressor service

  • Winterhalter UC-M

    Passthrough dishwasher, 2020, descaled 2024

Three units, one collection, one removal contractor. The liquidator priced the whole kitchen as a single line and would not itemise it.

Cardio floor replaced under a leasing swapM20

Independent gym, cardio refit

6 units to clear

  • Life Fitness Integrity Series

6 treadmills, 2020, belts and decks logged in the service contract

Six identical units with the same service record. Hour meters are the value driver here, and they are the one figure a photograph cannot verify.

Practice sold, fit-out cleared before handoverLS1

Three-surgery dental practice

3 units to clear

  • A-dec 500

3 chairs, 2019, annual service and pressure-vessel certificates on file

Certificated plant carries its paperwork into the sale. Buyers fitting a first surgery will pay for a documented chair and will not pay for an undocumented one.

Recovery bands exclude removal and disconnection, and assume the condition a report has not yet established. Every case above is a catalogue estimate for named units, not a record of a completed sale.

Next

Photograph the nameplate first.

Eight angles, about four minutes a unit. The report, the price band and the live listing all come out of that one pass — and the paperwork you already hold does the rest.
