Condition report

Grade B at 54% confidence

Grade B. Sound, working.
Confidence in this grade
x

Confidence is how much evidence the grade rests on — photo coverage, invoice coverage and whether running hours were verified. It is not how good the unit is.

Age basis
Serial block 2022-T read from the label under the stand, corroborated by the original purchase invoice dated 8 Mar 2022.

Known faults

  • Tilt pivot is loose and will not hold the screen above about 60°. The tension screw is already at its stop, so this needs a pivot assembly, not an adjustment.
  • Two chips in the bezel at the lower right, roughly 3 mm each. Cosmetic.
  • No card reader, no cash drawer and no receipt printer included.
  • No Lightspeed subscription included — the buyer needs their own account.

Known faults cannot be left blank on this platform. A seller with nothing to declare has to type it.

Findings by dimension

Seven dimensions, each scored from the photograph named in the row. Open a row to see the region it was read from.

Service timeline

No service record exists for this unit. The only document on file is the original purchase invoice, and that is stated in the gaps panel below rather than left for you to notice.

Documents read

Uploaded by the seller and put through extraction. An invoice that could not be read is recorded as a failure, not silently dropped — and it lowers the confidence figure.

What we don’t know

Everything above is evidenced. This is what the report does not cover, named in full. The panel is on every listing and cannot be collapsed away.

  1. 01

There is no service history at all

POS hardware is not maintained under contract, so no service record exists to read. The only document on file is the original purchase invoice. This is the single largest reason the confidence figure on this report is 54%.

  2. 02

Four of the eight required angles are missing

No photograph of the rear connections, the underside of the stand, the accessories, or the screen powered on.

  3. 03

The software licence is not transferable and was not verified

The Lightspeed subscription and the card reader were returned to the vendor at closure. A buyer needs their own Lightspeed account for this terminal to do anything, and that has not been tested here.

  4. 04

The unit was not powered on

Backlight uniformity, touch calibration, battery health and boot behaviour are all unassessed.

From the seller

Counter terminal from a Shoreditch coffee bar that closed on 27 June. It ran roughly 180 covers a day for four years on a single site licence. The card reader and the Lightspeed subscription went back to the vendor at closure, so what is being sold here is the terminal, the stand and the power supply — nothing else. Priced accordingly.

Known faults are declared in the condition report above, not in this description — 4 entries.

Included with the unit

  • Aluminium counter stand
  • 12V 5 A power supply and lead
  • Original purchase invoice
